Abstract | The Mark XI Project, initiated in 1977, has been a cooperative venture between the Housing and Urban Development Association of Canada (HUDAC) and DBR. This note presents a summary of the available information from the studies conducted by DBR. These include a comparison of the thermal perfomance of standard and upgraded houses, a study of the thermal performance of an upgraded wall, basement heat loss, moisture and air leakage studies, evaluations of air-source heat pump, solar and natural gas heating systems, an assessment of mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, and an analysis of wind and pressure effects.
