Abstract
The compositions of materials on red cedar panels for almost five years are discussed in relation to previous exposure tests. The exposure results are related to the compositions. An additional coat of varnish is found to improve the performance of the standard p-phenylphenolic varnish. The effect of ultra violet absordber on the durability of clear finishes is variable. Changing the pigment in the U.S. Forest Products Stain Formula affects the performance of the stain.
