Abstract | A theoretical study of a new approach for a solar simulator design capable of testing solar collectors is described. The technique involved in this design requires that the source have rotational symmetry and employs a 2-D approach in the calculation of the irradiance in the image plane. Reflecting surfaces to be used with two different types of light source are computed to illustrate practical applications of this method. |
