Abstract | Crop plants now grown in Canada were domesticated prior to historical record. There have been advances in regional adaptation, disease resistance and yield, but few if any notable breakthroughs to develop new species tailored to meet world food problems.
What can we as Canadian technologists do to meet this critical challenge? Application of the basis principles of systems analysis should help to provide some answers. |
