Abstract | This report outlines the numerical modeling of the experimental tests outlined in IOT Publication TR-2003-03. The numerical model is complete and "Fine Tuning" of the ice resistance modeling is currently underway. This report outlines the methods used thus far in "Fine Tuning" and provides documentation for continuation of the work.It is also recommended that DECICE be upgraded to include bi-linear inter-stiffness capability. This will improve interaction with and between ice elements by modeling the "crushing" that ice undergoes after reaching a certain strain (compression) point. |
