| Abstract | In order to evaluate thrust In flight, the reheated Meteor VT 196 has been fitted with a total pressure rake in the tailpipe. In order to correlate the readings on this rake with the mean pressure existing in the tailpipe, a series of temperature, pressure, and direction traverses was ma e across the tailpipe of a similar engine. These tests were carried out on the Derwent VIII engine used for reheat control development in Cell No. 2 in the Engine Laboratory. |
