| Abstract | This note describes the construction and operation of an instrument for measuring soil movements in a layer extending from the ground surface to a depth of 2 to 3 m. It was designed for investigation of the downslope movements (solifluction), essentially due to frost action that frequently occur in Arctic and sub-Arctic areas. |
