| Résumé | Two major obstacles were found in induction of pollen callus formation in culture of barley anthers in a liquid medium. First, the calli tended to sink and die within a few days. Second, the pH of the medium usually acidified to such and extent that the calli were no longer able to grow. These problems can be overcome by increasing the initial pH of the culture media and by increasing the density of the culture media with Fioll. |
