| Résumé | This report will focus on the summer campaigns of BOREAS where, in 57 project flights, the Twin Otter made important low-altitude measurements of the exchange of energy and trace gases at scales between those sensed by the flux towers and those covered by satellite and high-flying aircraft. The data will find its principal application in the scaling-up process critical to the development of algorithms to monitor these exchange processes over regional scales by satellite remote sensing. The report will document the Twin Otter flight operations in the summer campaigns, and will include descriptions of the aircraft instrumentation, software, recorded parameters, analysis procedures and the format of archive data electronically transferred to the BOREAS data archive at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. Measured fluxes and supporting meteorological data will be summarized for all of the approximately 1100 flux runs flown by the Twin Otter, and the results of several special studies will be presented. |
