Résumé | On a étudié la combinaison de la spectroscopie laser-plasma (SLP) et de techniques de fluorescence induite par laser (FIL) afin d’améliorer la limite de détection (LD) d’éléments présents sous forme de trace dans des matrices solides. On a étudié expérimentalement l’influence des principaux paramètres expérimentaux sur le signal de FIL, à savoir la fluence d’ablation, l’énergie d’excitation et le délai entre impulsions. On présente une discussion des résultats. À des fins de démonstration, on a étudié la détection du plomb dans des échantillons de laiton. Le plasma était produit grâce à un laser Nd/YAG déclenché, puis ré-excité au moyen d’un laser à oscillateur paramétrique optique (OPO) nanoseconde. Les expériences ont été réalisées dans l’air à pression atmosphérique. On a trouvé qu’avec notre dispositif expérimental les conditions optimales étaient obtenues en utilisant une fluence d’ablation relativement faible de 2–3 J/cm2 et un délai entre impulsions d’environ 5-10 μs. On a aussi trouvé que quelques dizaines de microjoules étaient typiquement requis pour maximiser le signal de FIL. Grâce à la technique de SLP/SFIL, on a obtenu une limite de détection par impulsion pour le plomb d’environ 1,5 partie par million (ppm), et une limite de 0,2 ppm a été obtenue après accumulation du signal de 100 impulsions. Ces valeurs représentent une amélioration d’environ deux ordres de grandeur par rapport à celles de la SFIL. |
