Abstract | The supply air in an open-plan office, whose floor space is usually subdivided into a warren of small, partitioned work areas, is normally distributed through diffusers. The quest is one of providing adequate ventilation for every work area. Based on IRC research, most, if not all, assumptions about the possible role that the layout of diffusers may play in air distribution can be safely dismissed. Only one condition concerning diffuser layouts must be observed for the sake of expedient removal of air contaminants. |
